The International School of Skopje opened in Macedonia in 1996.  We have consistently offered a strong academic Pre-K to 8 curriculum and we are now offering a secondary program leading to the best universities the world has to offer. In addition students participate in a wide range of activities, such as clubs, sports, art, drama, music, and dance; both within the school day and as after-school activities.

 ISS is the only school in Macedonia where most teachers are native English speakers and are certified in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada. These teachers are recruited overseas and selected carefully among many qualified applicants. ISS is the only true International School in Macedonia with students and staff representing 25 different nations.

 Academic excellence is also insured through external accreditation with the US-based Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the yearly IOWA test. This test has constantly placed our students’ achievements on the highest scale.
